1. Controller
Responsible for the app “App Vault” (App Store name: “App Vault – Apps & Nutzung”) and this policy:
Marcel Single

Email: flondy.dev@gmail.com
2. Principle
App Vault requires no account and runs no server of its own. Your app list, lists, notes, categories, settings and usage data are stored only on your device and are never sent to the developer. App Vault contains no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs and no third-party crash reporting.
3. Screen Time data
Only if you explicitly allow it (iOS system prompt with Face ID, Touch ID or passcode), App Vault uses Apple’s “Family Controls” and “Device Activity” interfaces to read:
- which apps are installed on your device (name, bundle ID, icon),
- usage time, number of pickups and number of notifications per app and day,
- Apple’s Screen Time category of each app.
This data is analyzed and stored only on your device (daily values for at most 400 days) to show your apps, history and insights. It is never transmitted to the developer or third parties and never used for advertising.
Apple currently provides this data only on devices in the European Union. You can revoke access at any time in App Vault’s settings or in iOS Settings under “Screen Time”. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
4. Content you create
Favorites, notes, lists, custom categories, saved apps and settings are stored locally in the app’s storage and are used only to provide App Vault’s features on your device.
5. App Store search and app info
When you search for or save an app, and for categories and App Store links, App Vault requests public information from Apple’s search interface (itunes.apple.com). Only the search term or an app’s bundle ID and the store country are sent – no usage data, no account data. For technical reasons Apple receives your IP address. Automatic lookups for installed apps can be turned off in App Vault’s settings.
6. Purchases (Premium)
Premium is a one-time purchase through Apple’s App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. App Vault receives no payment or account details, only the information from iOS whether the purchase is active on your device.
7. Backup (export and import)
You can export your App Vault data as a JSON file and import it again. You choose where it is saved (e.g. the Files app or iCloud Drive). App Vault does not send these files to the developer. If you store or share them with a cloud service, that provider’s terms apply as well.
App Vault data may also be included in your iPhone/iPad backups (iCloud backup or computer backup), which are managed by Apple or by you.
8. Retention and deletion
Data stays on your device until you delete it. In App Vault’s settings you can delete usage data separately or all App Vault data. Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device. The developer has no server-side copy of your data.
9. Security
App Vault relies on the iOS sandbox and data protection. The security of your data also depends on your device passcode and your backups.
10. Website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address. The site itself sets no cookies and uses no tracking. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since App Vault stores your data only locally, the developer usually holds no data about you.
12. Changes
This policy is updated when features or services change. The version published here applies.
